The brightest stars of People's Choice Awards 2012

A number of celebrities turned up at the annual People's Choice Awards event held at the Nokia Theatre in LA on Wednesday. The outfits were ranging from casual combinations to long, elegant evening gowns. One thing is for sure, though- this year's red carpet season has officially begun. Here are my favourite looks of the night:

Miley Cyrus stepped out on the red carpet wearing a white dress with sheer panels on the sides by a London-based fashion designer, David Koma. She accessorized this look with a Marchesa bag and metallic pink Jimmy Choo stilettos.

Demi Lovato brought the glamour in her peach, floor-length gown by Marchesa with embellished details. She complemented her darling look with a matching jeweled Marchesa clutch and a pair of Christian Louboutin peep-toe pumps. During her 'Give your heart a break' performance she rocked the stage wearing a red Issa mullet dress teamed with Jimmy Choo strappy sandals. The young starlet showed off her curves to perfection, I couldn't get my eyes off her!

Carrie Keagan went for a low-cut strapless silver dress with a silver train and fringe detailing. She paired it with gold jewellery and silver strappy platform heels. Even though I haven't found any positive reviews of this outfit so far, it immediately caught my eye. Thumbs up for this unconventional, figure-hugging gown.

Lucy Hale sparkled in a black asymmetrical mullet dress by Cengiz Abazoglu. She updated it with Sutra earrings and black platformed heels. Not many people can pull off this look, but considering her petite body, she certainly managed to do it in style!

The 'Pretty Little Liars' star, Ashley Benson, stunned on the red carpet dressed in a white sleeveless poof skirt dress by Alice + Olivia. She finished her look with a black belt from the Spring/Summer 2012 collection and black patent pumps.

And the winner is... ladies and gentlemen, Kaley Cuoco, the hostess of the event.

Kaley looked gorgeous as she strolled down the red carpet wearing a Badgley Mischka dress with embroidered details from the Spring 2012 collection. She kicked off the show in a red strapless dress by Naeem Khan and paired the look with matching pumps. Then, she changed into another Badgley Mischka design: a pale pink ruffled dress with glittery details, once more from the Spring 2012 collection. She will never cease to amaze me. Both considering her pure beauty and acting skills.

Which celebrities left you enchanted and which made you want to find them a new stylist as soon as possible?
Feel free to drop me a line!

xoxo, Dominika.
