We have an ongoing tradition of throwing school parties to celebrate the fact that we are halfway through high school. Mine is coming up in February and I have recently been suffering from something I would define as pre-party syndrome. All of a sudden, my closet appeared to be basically empty, each and every one of retailer stores and boutiques ran out of cute dresses and there seemed to be something wrong with every single pair of heels I own. I decided to put my search on hold for the time being, believing in the saying that 'best things come to those you wait'. As a matter of fact, it couldn't be more right. You can only imagine my joy when while wandering around the store aimlessly, I came across this beauty...
It's the twin clutch of the one presented by H&M a while ago:
The main difference is obviously the price tag, which definitely worked to the advantage of the one I found, so I gladly purchased it. There is something so empowering about buying the very first item, suddenly you feel like hitting all stores possible in hope of finding even more bargains... I know I do.
(I'm sorry it's so creased. I guess that's what you get for putting it in an overcrowded closet.)10 minutes later I was standing in the changing room admiring this figure-flattering dress with ruffles on the sides. The combination of ruffles, this amazing colour and one of my favourite boutiques made it virtually impossible for me to put the dress back on the clothing rack.

Do you think it's an appropriate outfit to wear to the school party or should I keep looking for a strapless cocktail dress, as it was originally planned? What accessories would you pair this dress with?
